Astana, Kazakhstan
2018
The project is situated in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, specifically in the rapidly developing left bank area. This location is characterized by a dynamic blend of residential and public buildings, and the facility's multifunctional purpose caters to a wide range of needs within the neighborhood. The complex comprises four distinct blocks, each meticulously designed to address specific functional domains, and unfolds as a testament to the convergence of form and function.
The project draws inspiration from the intricate nuances of the human eye, symbolizing the act of observing the expansive world, and seamlessly integrates futuristic elements, culminating in a structure reflective of bionic architectural principles. The architectural narrative is rooted in the organic and smooth forms of the human eye's iris, mirroring the efficiency and aesthetic elegance inherent in bionics. The design philosophy is a symbiosis of nature-inspired fluidity and cutting-edge technological integration.
A notable feature of the project is the movie shooting block, which is discreetly integrated within the main mass of the building. This design choice ensures minimal noise pollution during intense film-making activities, preserving the tranquility of the surrounding residential areas.
